Forum Information

Dear users, I have decided to phase out the posting on the forums on this website and move any discussions over to this private facebook group. While the forums were great 10 years ago, they are now difficult to maintain due to constant spam. I spend most of my time just cleaning them up, rather than interacting. This, combined with finding it difficult to directly communicate with other users through several different social media platforms, I have decided to consolodate it all to one group where people can chat with me, ask questions and jibber jabber with other users on a regular basis. I will not make the forums offline as there is a wealth of content, but posting has now been disabled. Thanks to all those who have contributed over the years, and I'll see you over on the Facebook group! -Tom

Hi guys,

this may be a newbie question for some of you, but I've been looking all over and haven't had any luck yet.

I am trying to run either Artificial Audio's Quartz or Cableguys' Midi Shaper VSTs that both spit out midi. I want said midi messages to modulate parameters within Live. I also bought Tom's Midi Mapper 1.0 but I still haven't had any luck - although I did manage to map parameters to a cc value, but nothing actually modulated.

I've watched a few vids on youtube from Cableguys -
and one from Tom way back when -

I've got my midi ports set up properly (I think) and seem to be doing everything right.

Has anyone else had similar issues and worked out how to solve them? I've been working on this for days!

I'm currently working out of the box, no hardware or controller as this is my current on the go set-up - just a laptop, live and a dongle here and there.

Thanks for y'all help.
